Jennifer Allyn Freeland, founder and owner, is a dual board-certified nurse practitioner with 20 years' experience in the medical field. Jen grew up in Santa Barbara, California, the oldest of three in a predominantly medical family. As an undergraduate, she attended the University of Colorado at Boulder where she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish Language and Literature. Despite a winding path to get there, Jen always knew she would follow in her parents’ medical footsteps, and in 2004 she realized her dream of becoming a nurse. Jen then spent the next seven years in critical care, ending her bedside nursing career in the surgical intensive care and trauma unit at UCSD Medical Center, earning her Master of Science degree in Nursing Education along the way.
Jen moved to Nashville in 2011 to begin the Emergency Nurse Practitioner program at Vanderbilt University. She completed her post-master’s training in 2013 and is board certified in both acute care and family practice with specialization in Emergency Medicine. In 2016, Jen earned her doctorate degree in nursing from Vanderbilt, where she then spent 5 years as part of the teaching staff.
Jen worked as a nurse practitioner in the ER from 2013-2023 and, while she admittedly thrives in a high-stress, adrenaline-rich environment, Jen has long been interested in skin care, non-surgical aesthetic enhancements, and promoting health and wellness. As aesthetic medicine is an ever-evolving field, Jen feels that education should be a lifelong pursuit in order to stay most up to date on current ideas and techniques. She specializes in neuromodulator and dermal filler injection, medical grade skin care, laser therapy, use of platelet rich plasma and fibrin (PRP/PRF) for aesthetics, and various anti-aging modalities such as Pure Plasma, Ultherapy, and use of biostimulators. She has additional training in bioidentical hormone replacement therapy, sexual dysfunction, and medical weight loss.
Jen loves practicing “happy medicine” and strives to use her training and expertise to bring a healthy balance of wellness and beauty to her beloved Mt. Juliet and middle Tennessee family, enhancing her clients' outer glow while ultimately boosting overall well-being and self confidence. Jen believes in conservative approaches to non-surgical cosmetic enhancements, helping her clients to become the best version of themselves rather than looking like the next over-enhanced celebrity icon.
Jen and her husband Dave, a Gallatin native and critical care nurse, live in Hermitage with their six cats: Dylan, Cash, Bocephus, Brooks, Jennings, and McGraw. They are building a house in Mt. Juliet and look forward to calling the city between the lakes their forever home! Jen and Dave love to travel and try to get away at least once a month to some of their favorite "local" spots such as Chattanooga, Asheville, and the North Georgia mountains, in addition to flying "home" to California several times a year. When they're not working or traveling, Jen and Dave spend their time on home projects, hiking, kayaking, golfing, camping, and discovering some of Music City's great restaurants.
